Job Description

This position is responsible for the collection of solid waste.

Examples of Duties

• Accompanies a solid waste collection truck along an assigned route.
• Moves and positions cans and dumpsters.
• Identifies hazardous wastes and other items not suitable for transport.
• Collects grass clippings and other yard waste.
• Washes trucks.
• Collects litter from rights-of-way.
• Paints and repairs dumpsters.
• Performs related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent
• No experience requirements.
