This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s information technology equipment and aiding the City’s IT/GIS Division.
Examples of Duties
Troubleshoot and identify problems or complaints in a computer system or device.
Install or replace computers and peripherals
Respond to and complete help-desk tickets and concerns from other departments in a timely manner.
Answer support phone calls.
Assist system administrators and analysts with tasks as needed.
Assist in other various duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
