Title: Energy Products & Equipment Technician
Tri Energy Cooperative, a local leader in the convenience store industry, with 12 CENEX-branded locations across Bismarck, Mandan, Dickinson, Sterling, and Lincoln, seeks a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Energy Products & Equipment Technician. Position Overview: The Energy Products & Equipment Technician will deliver lubricants and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) products to our customers, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and work areas. This position demands excellent customer service skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to handle physical tasks and operate machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lubricants and DEF products to customers and ensure proper handling and care.
- Assist the Propane Department with tank installations.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on propane systems and related equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas, conducting regular housekeeping tasks.
- Load and unload inventory in the warehouse and operate forklifts and other equipment.
- Assist the maintenance team when needed.
- Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and promptly address complaints or safety concerns.
- Work extended hours during peak seasons as needed to meet business demands.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands outlined below are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
- Continuously (66-100%): Use hands dexterously, talk or hear.
- Frequently (34-65%): Walk, sit, stoop/kneel/crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally (1-33%): Reach with hands and arms, balance, and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to engage in repetitive movements over extended periods.
- Work outdoors in adverse weather or temperature conditions may be required.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in agriculture or energy product handling is advantageous.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
